The University of Hong Kong (HKU) will hold a press conference on 8 July to introduce the flagship Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering programme by the newly established School of Biomedical Engineering (SBME).
Vice-President & Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Health) and Dean of Medicine, Professor Chak-sing Lau; Dean of Science, Professor Qiang Zhou; Acting Dean of Dentistry, Professor Lijian Jin; Director of SBME, Professor Michael Häusser; Programme Director of Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering, Professor Kevin Tsia; and Chair of the Board of the Faculty of Engineering and Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Professor Min Wang; will attend the press conference.

HKU established the School of Biomedical Engineering (SBME) on 19 March this year, jointly supported by the LKS Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Dentistry, the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Science. SBME aims to advance frontier research and education in biomedical engineering, positioning HKU as a global leader in the field.
