Professor Sir Andre Geim, Nobel Laureate, widely celebrated as the ‘Father of Graphene’ and newly appointed Chair Professor in the Department of Physics under the Faculty of Science at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), will present his inaugural lecture, titled “Random Walk to Graphene”, on 9 June at the Grand Hall of the Lee Shau Kee Lecture Centre on the Centennial Campus.
During this special event, Professor Geim will share his legendary scientific journey. Driven by curiosity and a willingness to embrace the unknown, Professor Geim will explain what makes graphene so extraordinary, why it continues to captivate researchers across disciplines, and how its unique properties are actively shaping the future of modern technology.
